The Douglas Company selected

for Laurels of Toledo project

Laurel Health Care Company of Westerville, Ohio recently selected The Douglas Company to construct an 11,381 square foot, 16-bed, private suite rehab unit at The Laurels of Toledo. The unit is the final step in the renovation of the facility.

The Laurels of Toledo is a 93-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. The new rehab unit was designed by pH7 Architects, Michael Healy, AIA, ALA. Healy has developed his experience in the senior housing market and is also a member of the Ohio Health Care Association.

The new unit will add at least 20 new jobs to the Toledo market upon completion, according to the company. The $1.6 million addition is expected to be completed in late fall.

Marty Larnhart, director of business development, The Douglas Company, stated, “This will be an incredible addition to our community. Toledo needs jobs, and our residents need places like the Laurels of Toledo to recuperate after surgeries or injuries.”
