Carl joined The Douglas Company in 1984 beginning as an Estimator, and advancing to the position of Vice President/Chief Estimator.  After leaving to successfully run his own construction firm for a period of time, he rejoined The Douglas Company and is responsible for managing the estimating and preconstruction process, business development function, and Design Services Company, our affiliated civil design company.  Carl is a hands-on professional with a successful history of completed projects, while maintaining positive working relationships with architects, engineers, local officials, vendors and clients, controlling costs and completion schedules.  He is well versed in project estimating, contract negotiations, document preparation, building codes and regulations, subcontractor relations, and materials purchasing.
