Student Housing

Today’s student housing designs provide resort style living for students.  New trends are beginning to focus on creating micro-housing units that provide high-quality housing options near universities at a reasonable price point. As one of the most important design considerations is location, most of the new student housing projects are being developed within walking distance to the university campuses.  The price of land around universities is typically expensive so a lot of the new designs, due to real estate prices, are podium type buildings over in-ground or above ground parking. The buildings all have extensive common area spaces for exercise, an extensive leisure area, and academic centers.  The standard resident room has common area kitchens and living rooms, and provide private bedrooms and private bathrooms for each resident.  The buildings are being designed with multiple layers of security, as safety is a major concern in privately operated student housing facilities.
