The Douglas Company is proud to partner with VDG Waldon on Waldon Village Phase III, a three-building retail development located in Independence Township, Michigan. With a total contract value of $10.2 million, the project expands the Waldon Village development with a mix of retail, restaurant, and childcare space designed to serve the surrounding community.
The 46,316-square-foot development includes three distinct buildings, each designed around the needs of its future occupants. Everbrook Academy will feature a fully built-out childcare facility with multiple classrooms and a playground, while the restaurant and retail buildings will be delivered as shell spaces ready for future tenant buildouts.
With multiple building types and end uses incorporated into a single development, Waldon Village Phase III requires careful coordination across the project team. The retail and restaurant buildings were designed by Krieger Klatt Architects of Royal Oak, Michigan, while the Everbrook Academy was designed by ADA Architects of Cleveland, Ohio. Construction began in December 2025 and is expected to be completed in December 2026.
