HOLLAND, OH — October 27, 2026 — The Douglas Company, alongside project partners, celebrated the groundbreaking of Silver Birch of Painesville, a new assisted living community in Painesville, Ohio. The three-story community will include 120 assisted living residences across approximately 90,431 square feet and carries a construction contract value of approximately $18.6 million. Completion is scheduled for November 2027.
Developed by Vermilion Development and designed by WJW Architects, Silver Birch of Painesville continues The Douglas Company’s work with both organizations.
The community will feature a variety of resident-focused amenities, including outdoor patios, a walking path and recreation area, community room, activity kitchen, dining room, private dining and conference space, game room, salon, wellness area, fitness room, puzzle lounge, physical therapy space, laundry rooms, and TV lounge.
