Centre Point Health and Rehabilitation

Centre Point Health and Rehabilitation is a resort-style rehabilitation facility located in Tallahassee, Florida. With numerous amenities, ultra modern therapy equipment, and medical support, it’s Tallahassee’s premier rehabilitation center. The Douglas Company handled their 40,860-square-foot addition that included 33 new suites, a state-of-the-art therapy gym and spa, salon, and theater. The expansion of the existing facility was done to provide more space and amenities for patients undergoing rehabilitation prior to returning home. The design for the new space was a collaboration between owner, Clear Choice Health Care, and architect, Lantz-Boggio / Architects. The project was the first collaboration for our team with both owner and architect.

For this project, maintaining a fully operational and at-capacity community  throughout the duration of construction was a priority to the owner. We were able to do just that by working on the Centre Point Health and Rehabilitation addition in phases. With the timeline of the project taking place over the course of a winter, there were many unforeseen circumstances that could’ve delayed the project. But our team was able to work around these issues, in addition to fixing issues from the original build — not completed by The Douglas Company. The project was completed in May of 2019, with the original facility remaining open for the duration of construction.  In total, the project was a $9.1 million undertaking. The Douglas Company team was proud to be a part of an expansion that offers an even stronger future to the Centre Point Community and its residents.
