Holland, Ohio, June 21, 2022 – The Douglas Company is pleased to announce that Andrew Barger, Rey Rodriguez, and Matthew Upton have all been promoted from project estimator to lead estimator. These well-deserved promotions come as the company’s preconstruction departments are working harder than ever to keep projects on track in preconstruction through a challenging market, and getting more creative and proactive in keeping project prices under control.

As lead estimators, these professionals will manage the entire preconstruction process from concept to contract including taking the lead on preconstruction calls, meetings, and presentations. Along with this huge jump in responsibility, they will continue to meet the needs of our clients and work with the assembled team to keep projects on time and within budget.

Andrew Barger

Andrew Barger has been with The Douglas Company Toledo office since 2015 and has shown the ability to quickly learn essential processes and accurately estimate very complex projects. He is currently working through the preconstruction process with multiple clients and helping control their budgets with detailed value engineering. Barger will lead preconstruction activities and coach our younger estimating staff.

Rey Rodriguez

Rey Rodriguez joined The Douglas Company Florida office in 2015 with a few years of estimating experience. Rodriguez has done an excellent job of estimating projects, serving our clients, and most importantly finding creative and meaningful value engineering solutions that help our clients hit their budgets.

Matthew Upton

Matthew Upton, also located in Florida, was hired as an estimating intern in 2014 and was later hired as a full-time associate three years later. Upton has vast experience and has demonstrated his ability to prepare solid estimates and proposals while managing the details of multiple projects simultaneously.
