Best returns to TDC as Procurement Manager while Peterson joins the team as Project Manager
Holland, Ohio — May 26, 2026 –– The Douglas Company is proud to announce the addition of two experienced construction professionals to its Toledo office with the return of Andrew Best as Procurement Manager and the hiring of Kurt Peterson as Project Manager.
Best returns to The Douglas Company after previously spending approximately seven years with the firm in both operations and estimating roles. During his prior tenure, he contributed to a variety of projects across multiple sectors before transitioning fully into estimating and preconstruction services.
Since graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Construction Management, Best has built his career primarily in senior living construction while also gaining experience in industrial, commercial, and healthcare projects. In his new role as Procurement Manager, he will support procurement strategy, subcontractor relationships, preconstruction coordination, and project planning efforts for the company.

The company also welcomed Kurt Peterson as Project Manager in the Toledo office.
Peterson brings more than 20 years of construction industry experience, including the last 12 years serving in project management roles. Throughout his career, he has managed a diverse range of construction projects including corporate offices, industrial facilities, SCIFs, multifamily developments, retail, automotive dealerships, and hospitality projects.
His experience includes large-scale renovations, ground-up developments, and high-profile customer experience centers. Peterson earned an associate degree in architecture and a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Ferris State University. He also holds OSHA 30-hour, CPR, Lift Operator, and Procore Administrator certifications.
