The Douglas Company’s Adopt-a-Family Gift Drive makes the holidays brighter for area families unable to buy essentials and gifts this holiday season. The holidays can be a challenging time of year for families and children who have been struggling.
The Douglas Company and their associates are doing their part to change this for some families in partnership with Family House to make a difference in the community by “adopting” local families for the holiday season and providing them with gifts and meals.
“We are overjoyed to be able to support the local community in this way,” said Nikki Depner, Marketing Coordinator of The Douglas Company. “Our associates came together to make this a very special holiday for several local families who needed our help. Giving back to our local community has always been a priority of The Douglas Cares Program, and it is a pleasure to extend the holiday spirit to local families in need. We hope it will inspire local companies and others to pass the spirit on.”

The Family House
The Family House is a unique, non-profit organization dedicated to providing homeless families in crisis with professional, comprehensive housing and social services in a safe, caring environment. The Family House is the 2nd largest shelter for families in the state of Ohio, housing 36 families at one time, and providing emergency housing and supportive services to over 300 families each year. The goal at The Family House is to help families in their time of crisis find permanent housing, help them regain control over their lives, and reclaim their independence through education, community resources, and compassion.
