Holland, OH – December 22, 2025 – The Douglas Company is excited to announce the start of construction on Hunter Woods Apartments, part of the larger Hunter Woods community in La Porte, Indiana. The overall development includes single-family homes, townhomes, and apartments, with The Douglas Company responsible for constructing 32 of the community’s 56 apartment units. The project is projected for completion in September 2026.
Hunter Woods Apartments is being developed by Hunter Woods Apartments LLC, also known as Sloane Avenue Group, with architectural design provided by Duneland Group. The Douglas Company will build two 2-story apartment buildings, each with 16 units (eight units per floor), totaling 28,324 square feet. The construction contract is valued at $4.5 million.
