Holland, OH – February 10th, 2026 – The Douglas Company (TDC) has officially begun construction on two OHFA-funded affordable assisted living communities for Evergreen Real Estate Group: Green Oaks of Holland and Green Oaks of Canal Winchester. Each four-story, 120-unit facility will feature a wide range of amenities, including a bistro, computer lounge, fitness studio, library, activities room, game room, physical therapy office, and an exterior patio with gazebo.
The Green Oaks of Holland project, with a total contract value of $20.6 million, is located less than one mile from TDC’s headquarters, giving the team a unique opportunity to build close to home. The project is being led by TDC Project Manager Matt Bergfeld.
The Green Oaks of Canal Winchester project, with a total contract value of $21 million, will follow a similar four-story, 120-unit design and is being managed by TDC Project Manager Tyler Stout. Both projects are designed by WJW Architects and utilize Cold Formed Steel Metal Framing with Intellisteel, an innovative construction approach that enhances efficiency and durability.
