Nursing Homes and the Aging of America

By 2030, the number of Americans over the age of 65 will be 70 million and 8.5 million will be over 85.  It is projected that 5 million people will reside in nursing homes in 2030, or an increase of 313%.With these population demographics and the aging skilled nursing facilities, that will require substantial renovation or replacement, it is clear that there is a growing need for new skilled nursing facilities, as well as, the need to modernize much of the current nursing home inventory.

For much of the past 40 years, The Douglas Company has been focused on all aspects of the senior living industry.  Our team takes a collaborative approach to provide progressive designs, best value pricing, and risk control, one of the most important things that a general contractor can do.

If you are thinking about building a new skilled nursing facility or updating an existing facility, talk to The Douglas Company about what we do every day to minimize your risks and look out for your best interests.
